It’s certainly felt like summer is coming over the last week or so be sure to hit the courts and enjoy the sunshine. Recently we held our Bacon Butty morning in support of Dementia UK and we raised £153.00 which was great effort. A huge thankyou to Mandy and Nicki for organising the event and Neil Saint for producing the yummy bacon rolls. Thanks also go out to the members who baked treats for the morning and of course everyone who came down and supported the morning.
Coaching programmes have finished for the spring term but some adult sessions will continue throughout the next two weeks so please check the individual WhatsApp groups for further details. Our junior sessions on a saturday morning will continue throughout the easter holidays swell.
We have two Junior camps at the tennis club during the easter holidays on Thursday 10th April and Tuesday 15th April. Members will still have access to the clubhouse to make teas and coffees throughout the day. If you have any questions on these please feel free to contact Matt.
With the weather improving we are seeing the courts starting to become busier and of course we will soon have Summer League matches and tournaments starting. So please can we ensure we book courts to avoid any disruption to League fixtures or tournaments .
The winter pavilion has had a little spring clean and a fresh coat applied and I’m sure you agree looks far better for it. The front of the winter pavilion has been tidied as well with pavement slabs being put down in front of the window. The path running down towards the Astro Courts is set to be completed within the next week. This will give us a direct pathway from the acrylic courts all the way down to the Astro turf gates which will be fantastic and should prevent the need to walk down the grass area.
