Our club sessions take place twice a week, welcoming players of all skill levels on Tuesdays and Sundays. There are a variety of club tournaments throughout the year.

We also offer various social events available to members.

Makeaball Tennis Academy

We are very lucky to have Matt Hough as our Head Coach. We are the home to ‘Makeaball Tennis Academy’ that is run by Matt. Makeaball Tennis Academy (MTA) runs a term time coaching programme for juniors and adults of all ages and abilities whilst also offering private coaching for those interested. During school holidays you can be sure to see lots of juniors enjoying the camps.

Club History

Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club – Established 1884

Established in 1884, Felixstowe Lawn Tennis club is one of the oldest clubs in the UK. It hosted a GB Davis Cup Tie in 1954. Many past and present profressional players have graced our courts including Fred Perry, Tim Henman, Dan Evans and more recently, Emma Raducanu in 2021, the year she won the US Open.

We have 9 grass courts available during the summer season and 9 floodlit courts (3 acrylic, 3 macadam and 3 artificial grass) for play throughout the year, all overlooked by a spacious clubhouse.

We offer a number of regular club sessions for members, including Tuesday evenings (6:30pm) and Sunday mornings (10am).

The club has men’s, ladies and mixed teams in the Suffolk league, a Friday Night League for all ages and abilities and runs an extensive coaching program for adults and juniors. There are also a number of social events throughout the year including Music nights & quizzes.
