Felixstowe Lawn Tennis Club recently celebrated the excitement of Wimbledon by hosting a fantastic Wimbledon-themed social tennis tournament for its members.
A total of 34 players took part, with all nine of the club’s beautiful grass courts in use throughout the day. Members embraced the spirit of the Championships by wearing traditional white tennis attire wherever possible, creating a wonderful Wimbledon atmosphere both on and off the courts.
The event wasn’t just about tennis – it was also a great opportunity for members to socialise and enjoy the club’s friendly community. Everyone was invited to bring a plate of food to share, resulting in a delicious spread that was enjoyed by all between matches.
With plenty of competitive rallies, laughter and friendly matches throughout the day, the tournament was a huge success. It was wonderful to see so many members coming together to enjoy tennis on the club’s renowned grass courts while celebrating one of the sport’s most iconic tournaments.
